There is a lot of interesting information on Eastlake Middle School’s history. So now we will share with you about the awesome information we have learned. Some of the information we have is interviews, e-mails, websites, and timelines from former students. Some of the people that we have interviewed are Jack Braunlich, Arthur Williams, Roy McMullen, Carol Hoffecker, Joe Reigel, Ann Dewald, Buddy Young and Mr. Grant. We found our information from sources like, the Indian stone in the schoolyard, people we have interviewed,.
I. before the building was built
A. Native Americans (Miles, Owen, Vinny, T.J., Zach
1. Whittlesley Culture
1500-1700. Erie indians had a village at the corner of lakeshore BLVD. and Reevesoad.

Two junk planes were left over from the airstrip that used to be here.
Hillcrest used to be the runway.

He attended the first or second year after the building was built.
There was a civil defense shelter with a tunnel underneath
2. Lake County Historical Society
Falcilties at the airport were also used by piolts and they raced in Cleaveland.
3. Joe Reigle
He was a guidence counserlor at EMS for 16 years.
II. EJH
A. Opening day(Peter, Nick, Kevin, Devin)
Opening of Eastlake Junior High School in February 1951
The open day of EJH was 1949 to1951 that is when EJH closed an EMS opened. the conitions of EJH was bad in 1949. until they built the other side of the building. this is the picture of the first day that the school opened on 1949. the other side of build was bilt on 1963. the cost of EJH was 775000 dollars.all of the acres of the school EJH was 35.77 acres.
